ABOUT EMILY

“Counselling can be a place to wrestle with life's deeper questions when the path you've been following may no longer feel like your own, the future might feel less certain than it once seemed, and you're left wondering what it means to build an authentic, purposeful life.”

Hi, I'm Emily.

I am a Registered Counsellor with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA) and hold the designation of Master Practitioner of Clinical Counselling – Provisional (MPCC-P). As a human and counsellor, I am drawn to the fundamental questions that often emerge during periods of change, loss, uncertainty, and transition. Questions about identity, meaning, authenticity, and what it means to to build a life that feels true to who we are.

There are moments in life when the answers that once guided us no longer seem to fit. A relationship changes. A loss occurs. A role ends. A work environment shifts. Or, sometimes, nothing external has changed, yet something no longer feels quite right. The future we imagined begins to look different than we expected. What follows is often more than stress or anxiety... it can be a deeper questioning of who we are, what matters, and how we want to move forward.

With experience working in high-pressure and emotionally demanding environments, I understand how periods of burnout, grief, caregiving, uncertainty, and transition can affect not only our wellbeing, but also our sense of meaning, identity, and connection to ourselves.

My approach is conversational, trauma-informed, and grounded in nervous system awareness. I see counselling as a place to pay closer attention to your experience, explore the patterns and stories that have shaped your life, and develop a deeper relationship with yourself. From that awareness, new possibilities, perspectives, and ways of being can begin to emerge.

With that being said, if this resonates, I am here. I offer online counselling sessions, creating a flexible and accessible space to connect from wherever you choose like the comfort of your couch.

About Emily

HOW I WORK

Much of my approach is informed by nervous system awareness and rooted in the belief that lasting change often begins with asking yourself deeper questions about who you are, what matters, and how you might prefer to live.

Rather than rushing toward solutions, I am interested in understanding your life as it is. This can involve exploring longstanding patterns, familiar ways of living, beliefs about yourself, or adaptations that once helped you navigate life but no longer fit.

I believe awareness is often the beginning of change. As you pay closer attention to what is happening within and around you, new perspectives can emerge. You may begin to recognize choices where there once seemed to be none, reconnect with aspects of yourself that have fallen away, or find a different relationship to the challenges you face.

My work can offer an opportunity to pause, become more present, and find what feels authentic, meaningful, and alive for you.
